Structural and tectonic conditions for the development of the Bering Sea sedimentary basin

Introduction. In order to characterize the oil and gas potential of any area under exploration, its structural tectonic evolution should be studied. this paper, a modelling Bering Sea is carried out. Aim. To identify characteristics by interpreting results obtained during geodynamic analysis sedimentary basin formation, based on paleoreconstructions Sea. Materials methods. A basins was out using contemporary methods numerical geological (PetroMod software, Schlumberger). Three-dimensional time-spatial structural-tectonic models were formed bottom maps Pliocene-Quaternary deposits, near Lower Miocene Oligocene tops along acoustic basement bottom. Maps digitalized converted grids (with 500-m step), in which discrepancies (intersections) removed taking into account available geophysical data (seismogeological sections). The surface constructed connection bathymetric topographic maps. beginning end time accumulation periods determined accordance with international stratigraphic scale. Results. performed study identified sufficiently continuous development areas oceanic or suboceanic crust deep-water (back-arc) basins, aged from Upper Jurassic-Cretaceous Cenozoic repeatedly affected subsequent phases magmatic activation; belts Cretaceous-Cenozoic block-magmatic island arcs, locally including reformed blocks an older, Paleozoic Cimmerian, consolidation; extensive depth-differentiated alpine/newest (syn-oceanic) shelf platforms, occassionally partially destroyed due latest destruction, large Pre-Cambrian relatively rigid massifs structure their base. Conclusion. indicate deeply submerged West Anadyr, East Anadyr Central possible depocentres own hydrocarbon generation centres.
